This Armonk it-spot is a total sweets scene, luring in dessert lovers from all over Westchester to experience their outstanding, over-the-top creations.
Owners and twin sisters Hillary and Elissa opened their dessert destination in 2017, after 15 years of running a custom cake operation out of Hillary’s house.
It’s no surprise then that their occasion cakes are iconic, so much so that their scraps became a hot-ticket item, which they now package up and sell on the spot. And thank goodness they’re salvaged, because those frosty, fluffy leftovers are one of the tastiest treats I’ve ever tried.
Really all of their desserts reach next-level yumminess, like the birthday bars and blondies with buttercream piled high, edible cookie dough with huge chocolate chunks…cookies so big they barely fit in the case, and famous banana cream pudding.
They are also one of the few that properly acknowledge the most classic, universal sweet: candy! In addition to a dedicated wall of nostalgic goodies, like gummies, sours, fish, twists and tootsies, they create killer candy boards and packages that are sure to steal the spotlight at a party.
And speaking of parties – for all my event enthusiasts and home entertainers, the Sugar Hi platters are where it’s at. Choose your favorite items and they’ll portion pieces to share, wrap it all up and seal with a bow…because presentation and attention to detail is everything.
