This local ice cream gem was in the midst of a meltdown, when Ardsley resident Lucy Trapletti Gratzon and family scooped it up, refurbished the entire shop, and re-opened its doors — bringing sunshine and sprinkles to an entire community in January 2020, at the height of the pandemic.
Now almost two years later, Carvel has become an Ardsley village hotspot, where families, friends and high schoolers can enjoy a classic cup or cone for any reason, in any season.
But what really sets Carvel apart for me, is their selection of ice cream goodness to go!
Who wouldn’t enjoy a chipwich sandwich or flying saucer, chocolate fudge or strawberry sundae, or a slice of heavenly ice cream cake as a fun and yummy treat? Those famous chocolate crunchies that have remained the same since childhood? C’mon! It’s home-entertaining gold.
